Arshi Khan is Ms Bikini Online Western Zone Finalist‏

Model and actress Arshi Khan was selected the finalist of the Western Zone Round (Maharashtra & Goa) for the Ms Bikini Online 2014 pageant. Speaking to entertainment content agency Newz66.com immediately after her selection, Arshi Khan said, “Some persons with vested interests and ulterior business and professional motives have voiced doubts and tried to publicly defame and belittle the pageant Ms Bikini Online. But I would like to reassure everyone that about 30 semi-finalists from all over India are working hard day in and day out – undergoing a rigorous training session to make it to the zonal rounds and finals. The Western Zone finals have just concluded but 6 rounds still remain. There is a strict selection process and proper procedures and standards are being followed. Even the training sessions are video taped. I am happy to be selected the western zone finalist and thank Newz66.com Events for giving me this opportunity. I wish all the other contestants the very best and am working on my body to tone myself up for the final event.”

For Arshi Khan this is a hat trick or the third win in three months. She was crowned Miss Glory Earth 2014 last week at an event held at the YWCA in Delhi. Present at the same event were participants from various cities and countries including Finland, Paris, etc. Arshi Khan was also selected and crowned Miss Maharashtra Global Tourism – as part of the ongoing Miss Maharashtra King & Queen 2014 Pageant in early Feb this year. She will represent the State of Maharashtra at the Global Tourism glam event and conference – Miss Global Tourism 2014 to be held in May. She will also be seen at the Miss Tourism Universe pageant to be held in Singapore later this year.

Arshi Khan was born in Afghanistan but came to India when she was just four years old as her parents migrated back in India to Bhopal. She finished her school and college in Bhopal itself and was attracted towards theater since her early childhood. Acting brought her to Mumbai where she bagged many assignments in a short span of six months. She was introduced to the famous stage personality Janaab Ehsaan Chishti, a famous theater director in Bhopal. “Ehsaan ji thought that I have a attractive face and figure and if I try and work hard, I can possibly make it as an actor. He used to instigate me and it was at Ehsaan ji’s provocation that I started acting in various dramas in Bhopal city. I started getting offers for modelling and that’s how I got assignments,” Arshi Khan told content agency Newz66.com. Taking a cue from him, she got a break in a Tamil film ‘Malli Mishtu’ where she played the lead role opposite Tamil star Naresh and has not look back since then.

Designer Randell Gomes will design the bikinis for the final round, while the event will be covered in a special photo feature by Fashion & Lifestyle Asia magazine – to be launched next month.

Simona Roy - Ms Bikini Online - Fashion Concept shoot

Model and Ms Bikini Online nominee Simona Roy shot for Goan fashion designer Randell Gomes for a fashion concept shoot for a high profile glossy new publication Fashion & Lifestyle Asia. The publication will be launched next month in Mumbai. The theme of the shoot was Fashion, Color and Fabrics of India.

This shoot featured Randell Gomes 2014 pret summer collection. Designer Randell Gomes had launched a pret collection last year  called Mumbai Fashion Street Collection which is inspired by Mumbai's fashion street at Dhobitalao in South Mumbai. This year too he has introduced a new line of wearable and affordable clothes for women of all shapes and sizes under the same name. The shoot was co-ordinated by Newz66.com Media Services.

Randell Gomes who was born at Margao in South Goa grew up at Dhobi Talao near the CST Railway Station and was fascinated by the variety and color of clothes available very cheaply on Fashion Street.

Says Randell Gomes, "My sisters would go to Fashion Street every weekend. When I was a student at St Xaviers college, we would visit Fashion Street to buy bermudas, shorts and T -shirts which were available for as little as Rs 30 per piece. It was simply fabulous. Most of the stuff available at Fashion Street were export rejects and some of them were re-cycled clothes. But the joy we experienced getting an outfit within our limited budget was tremendous. At that time, shopping was fun and a great pleasure. With my new range of pret outfits for men and women, I want to make cheap fashionable clothes available for everyone. I am collaborating with a to-be-launched niche upmarket lifestyle magazine Fashion & Lifestyle Asia for their editorial fashion shoots. Simona Roy is the perfect ramp model with her long legs and slender body. Though my clothes cater and can fit women of varying shapes and sizes, I am happy to work with Simona Roy on this project."
